Re'Chelle Turner

Re’Chelle is an Alabama girl living in a Texas World! The Emmy Award-winning journalist joined the KPRC 2 news team in July of 2020 as a general assignment reporter. She thrives on breaking news and connecting with the community to find stories that matter. 

Before moving to the Lone Star State, Re’Chelle worked in Little Rock, Arkansas as a reporter and fill-in anchor. She worked closely with Arkansas Martin Luther King Jr. Commission and traveled to Selma, Alabama covering the 54th and 55th Anniversary Commemoration of “Bloody Sunday”. 

She landed her first on-air job in Lawton, Oklahoma working as a multimedia journalist and started her career as a producer in Jackson, Mississippi. One of her most memorable moments was flying with the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds. 

She is a graduate of the University of Alabama and loves College Football, basketball, and gymnastics, “Roll Tide!” She was born and raised in Pell City, Alabama. 

As a member of the National Association of Black Journalists, Re’Chelle enjoys mentoring and community service. She loves makeup, cooking, riding 4-wheelers and roller coasters. 

She lives in the Katy area with her husband and their German Shorthaired Pointer named Cali.
